Tracey & Jason's engagement session in downtown Buffalo, NY.

I met with Tracey and her mama Paula a few months ago to start planning for her wedding coming up in just a little over a month. We had an instant connection and we all knew it! She brought the kiddos in with her that day and I just couldn't wait to work with them!

We went back and forth on what we wanted to capture for their engagement/family session. We looked at several different spots but settled on the Buffalo waterfront and all of the expansion they have done down there. It really is quite amazing what is becoming of the waterfront, if you haven't been there you have to check it out!

It was my first time meeting Jason and I am really excited to be working with the two of them. You could see their connection through each other, the life they have created with their family and the love. It's really what I live for. Connections, seen through continuous moments in time with people.

We started out downtown in the Cobblestone District which happened to be under a bit of construction, but that didn't stop us! We walked up and down the street stopping in places and grabbing portraits. The kids really seemed to light up with all of the cool old buildings, alleyways and neat little crevices to explore.

Afterwards we headed over to Tift Nature preserve to run in the fields, be one with nature and to laugh. Because laughter is a guaranteed in my book. It really was a wonderful morning and I'm so glad we had a chance to get to know one another on another level before the big day! I can't wait to spend the day with Tracey, Jason and the kiddos for their wedding!
