I had such a great day with Katie & Jeff for their wedding! It honestly was a beautiful day full of thunder, lighting, mixed rain and even some hail! But between all the crazy Buffalo weather we had a wonderful day together.
It started off with meeting the couple at their church Saint Francis in Tonawanda. I met Katie and her Mom quickly before running up to the alter to meet the Priest and get the run down on the rules for photography for the day. As she walked down the aisle I could see how excited she was and also how much her soon to be Husband Jeff was as well. During the ceremony the Priest asked me to come up onto the alter (so glad he invited me up) and told me to take pictures from up there too. He did this because he couldn't get over how big Katie’s smile was and was just tickled that she was having so much fun.
After the ceremony we did a few pictures inside as we wated for the rain to subside. Then we went out to the Pavilion and did a few more family photos. We tried to figure out Katie’s bustle and failed miserably. Fortuantely it didn’t matter. We then wisked off to the Japanese Gardens where we did more family photos and then some of the Bride and Groom. They were sooo cute, I couldn’t help but smile from ear to ear while I was shooting. When it’s prime wedding season you always have to share space at the Japanese Gardens and Delaware Park with other wedding parties but we did so easily.
We went over by the new addition by the Albright Knox and shot some formals there, then ran up the stairs at the back and a grabbed a few more great pics behind the museum. All in all, it was a stellar day and I’m so blessed that this is my JOB! Thanks Katie, Jeff and Fam for a wonderful time. Enjoy the sneak peek. LIVE.LAUGH.PHOTO. Love, Ariel
