A day spent in the country with two beautiful sisters.

There is nothing I love more than spending the day with kids. There is just something about the way they view the world in such an innocent way, with no judgement just what's real to them. Being able to enjoy the viewpoint of a child is like turning back the clocks and remembering childhood yourself.

I always find myself looking for new, fun and exciting ideas on how to capture childhood, because it is so fleeting. One day you wake up and your child has grown. You look back on when they were little and you feel like somehow you missed so much. It happens to us all. That's why it is extremely important in my life to take the time and document my son's life.

Dresses were made by Posh Peanut and I highly suggest you check out her store!

I had a vision for this particular session and with a little help from a fabulous shop out of California, my favorite craft store Michaels and an incredibly awesome venue, I was able to pull off this vision. The light was absolutely stunning and the girls, well they are just breathtaking. It was all I needed.

These portraits were taken in a barn full of some of the most beautiful horses I have ever seen. The girls were fascinated by the majestic beauties as well as the lofts and alcoves in the barn. We played with bubbles, dogs and lots of hay. My little friends are from North Carolina and they visit just a few times a year. I really enjoy being able to spend quality time with them and my son has stated that "Maybe, when I'm older I can marry her"! ( The older one) Which to me is just absolutely the cutest thing ever.
