Oh man, this was the craziest session EVER to be pulled off haha!

So Josh had reached out to me about 2 months ago saying he wanted to do a family session with a surprise proposal to his girlfriend Alexis and I was so pumped. As we started to conspire I talked with Alexis about also doing a cake smash session for their 1 year old Michael.

We decided we would do 2 separate sessions and the first one was going to be this surprise engagement session but the weather didn’t look to good last Saturday so last minute we switched and did their family/cake smash session.

Well this Saturday rolled around the weather was not looking very good. In fact it was a white out at the time we were supposed to get together. I went back and forth with ALexis and assured her it would be fine. By the time we met up I think Alexis was thinking we were all crazy but everyone pulled it off so well she had NO idea!

We shot literally 10 photos before the baby wasn’t having it anymore. Then we could tell that Alexis was concerned but I had to convince her to continue photos without him. I mentioned we should do just some couples photos and got her to go along with it. Our plan was to get her to the bridge where Josh had explicit instructions and knew exactly when we were going to do the proposal. We walked around in legitimately the most craziest snow storm taking these pictures, but boy was it worth it.

Under the bridge Josh got down on one knee and proposed to Alexis, we all cried and then walked back to the Marcy Casino where there was a table with all of the family waiting to congratulate the two! Sooo cute!

I really enjoyed working with this family, it has been a blast! To many happy years together you two!!
